Public sector construction programs are held accountable to the tax paying communities that vote to fund them. Protocols and audits are put in place to document where funding is spent and how well programs are performing. When transparency isn’t readily available and projects go wrong, it becomes more difficult to get future local, state, and federal funding approved.
